For over 30 years, computing professionals and decision makers from the entire University of North Carolina system have held annual statewide conferences. For the directors, managers, support staff and users of IT in the University’s sixteen-campus system, the UNC CAUSE conferences have become a popular tradition and an important on-going education program. Typically the UNC CAUSE conference attracts around 300 attendees.

This year, conferees will meet in Wilmington, North Carolina on November 12 – 14 to explore the conference theme: “UNC@ITs best

Vendor Registration
As a participating vendor, your representatives are invited to attend and participate in all aspects of the conference. To enable us to do proper capacity planning, we request that each participating vendor register as a corporate entity, and that each of the vendor participants register as well. Vendor participants are entitled to the same hotel rate as university participants, $69.00/night.

Setup/Breakdown
You will be notified of the specific booth via an email (that was sent on Oct 31) or during setup. You are encouraged to setup on Tuesday (11 November) afternoon beginning at 2pm. Breakdown can begin late Thursday afternoon (after 5:00pm). Please have your exhibit removed by midnight Thursday. Security will be provided during the conference (5pm Tuesday through midnight Thursday).

Vendor booths are a 6'x8' space with a 6' table, power and 1 network connection.

Shipping and Receiving:
All materials shipped in and/out of the Wilmington Hilton must be off-loaded and/or loaded by the hired shipping company. Any containers weighing more that 200 pounds will not be moved by hotel staff members. All equipment must be shipped for arrival no earlier than three (3) days before vendor arrival. All materials/equipment must be delivered between 8am and 4:30pm. All materials must be removed from hotel at the end of the event or a storage fee will be charged. All shipped materials must state conference/group name and date of event and contact name on bill of lading. Any materials shipped before (3) days prior to the start of the event, or not picked up within (2) days after the conclusion of the vent, are subject to a $5.00 per day per package charge (regardless of size

Booth Profile
All booths will be provided with a 6' table, skirt, drape, electrical and networking connectivity.

The vendor room will be open for conference attendees:

  • Wednesday, 12 November: 12 noon - 5pm
  • Thursday, 13 November: 8:30am - 5pm

As an attendance incentive, we encourage you to bring door prizes or giveaways.

Many door prizes are awarded at the Friday morning breakfast. Please let us know ahead of time so that we may plan for your prize selection.

Accommodations
The conference is being held at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside in Wilmington, North Carolina. We have reserved a block of rooms, but you are encouraged to make your reservations early as there is an October 11th 2003 cut off. Reservations can be made by calling 910.763.5900. Please specify that you are attending the UNC CAUSE conference when making your reservation. You may also may reserve suites at the Hilton’s sister property, The Riverview Suites at Water Street Center, as part of the UNC CAUSE room block.
