This presentation will demonstrate two projects using various technologies. The "Eye on UNCW " was developed to give prospective students and potential faculty a way to experience the “flavor” of UNCW and to see and hear about the breadth of programs available. “Eye on UNCW” is an interactive online portal that encapsulates academic and student life through a multimedia presentation. Interface sections feature a photo album, an archive of videos and live camera views of campus. A demonstration and details of the project will be discussed. The SMART Project is an effort to create technology enhanced courses at UNCW. The project looks to help professors enhance the ways they get particular concepts across to their students, such as those that might be more difficult to grasp, and to do this in a quantifiable fashion. With the guidance of the professors, the project integrates hardware and software technology enhanced teaching modules into courses for specific educational functions. The modules include various hardware and software technologies developed in-house or developed by students as class projects for other UNCW courses. Demonstrations of both projects will be presented.
