Abstract:

I'd like to lay the ground work for how AntiVirus protection & communication about related issues is handled at NCSU. Then, I'd like to open the topic up for input from other schools.
Some of the components:

  • What NCSU is running Norton AntiVirus / Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition
  • "Managed" clients & services
  • Mail virus quarantining & host port blocking
  • Distribution of AntiVirus software
  • Management options / issues
Audience:
primarily for technical staff; may be of interest for general audience.
